INTRODUCTION EXHIBITOGRAPHY CONTACT

After having worked with paintings, etching and objects, Swedish artist Ingemar Thalin started exhibiting installations during the late 80's. This way of expression has since dominated his artistry.

Context and material are the fundamental components of his art. The chosen materials act as "signal couriers". The pieces of art often relate to existential questions, but no specific answers are given.

Ingemar Thalin is consciously active both inside and outside "the white cube". He is constantly searching for new "rooms" to relate to. Some examples are churches, factories and streets as well as nature in different environments around the world.
